Pargi: Finance Minister Etala Rajender has assured the Farmers’ Coordination Committee of Vikarabad district to keep in Zone-III and directed officials to bring it back from Zone-IV to Zone-III. On Monday, the committee president Koppula Mahesh Reddy called on the minister and explained him that it would be disastrous for the district to include it under Zone-IV.
The undivided Rangareddy district was divided into Ranga Reddy, Medchal and Vikarabad districts. Several mandals around Hyderabad and regions where 30 per cent HRA is applicable have been merged with Rangareddy and Medchal districts leaving only backward mandals like Bomraspeta, Kodangal and Daultabad with Vikarabad district.
He contended that the unemployed would be at a loss with the inclusion of the district under Zone-IV. Merging it with Nalgonda district under Zone_IV would cause severe loss to Vikarabad district as Nalgonda district has been developed.
