Hyderabad: Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee (TAJAC) requested Chief Secretary PK Mohanty not to extend the service of Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy beyond the age of superannuation. In a memorandum to Chief Secretary on Monday, T-Advocates JAC leader T Sriranga Rao urged the State government to shift the Dinesh Reddy from the present charge after the Supreme Court order directing CBI inquiry into his assets. He said that Reddy’s tenure as DGP is very controversial from the beginning and the IPS officer is known to misuse his authority to fix his rivals in the service and others who are perceived to be opposing his interests.
“There is no justification in the representation of DGP seeing extension of service”, he added.
