Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan advised the beneficiaries of sheep units to rear the sanctioned sheep for at least one year.

Speaking to the officials of Animal Husbandry in a meeting held at Collectorate on Thursday, he said to inspect the status of sanctioned sheep units in the district, the administration would constitute a three-member vigilance committee consisting District Audit Officer, General Manager of District Industries Department and Welfare Department Special Officer Sanjeeva Rao.

The committee will submit a report of the sheep units of the district within 15 days. Stern action would be taken on beneficiaries who hand over their sanctioned sheep to others, the Collector said, while explaining various steps to avoid irregularities in the scheme.

Animal Husbandry DD Narashimha Reddy, DPO Ram Mohan raju, DSO Anuradha, CPO Subba Rao and others were participated.
