One dead, 15 injured as bus rams stationary lorry in Nalgonda
One person was killed, and 15 others were injured when a private bus hit a roadside stationary lorry near Vallabha Cheruvu on Nalgonda bypass road in the early hours of Thursday.
​Nalgonda: One person was killed, and 15 others were injured when a private bus hit a roadside stationary lorry near Vallabha Cheruvu on Nalgonda bypass road in the early hours of Thursday.
In all, 35 persons were travelling in the private bus at the time of the accident. The bus was going to Hyderabad from Ongole in Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh.
According to two town Sub-Inspector Madhu, a tanker bound for Hyderabad was parked at roadside near Vallabha pond. The private bus hit the tanker from behind between 3 am and 4 pm.
P Nanda Reddy (18), native of Addanki, who sat in the first seat of the bus, suffered serious injuries and died while being shifted to hospital.
Tanker driver fled the spot. Police handed over the body of Nanda Reddy to his kin after post-mortem was conducted at the government hospital in Nalgonda.
