Speaking at CPI-M district plenum, held under the leadership of party leader Ponnam Venkateswar Rao here, Sudharshan Rao said Telugu-speaking States Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu took a U-turn now. He recalled that they had earlier praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the skies.

The Chief Minister, he said, was making only hollow promises. He accused the Chief Minister of failing to fulfil his promise to distribute three acres of land to the Dalit. He said the Rythu Bandhu scheme was “vote-catching gimmick.”

He demanded that the government ensure minimum support price for farm produce. In the united Andhra Pradesh, as many as 16 Chief Minister had borrowed Rs 70,000 crore loans. Now, KCR during the last four years pushed the State into debt-trap by borrowing Rs 1,70,000, he claimed.

Sudharshan Rao stressed the need to build political alternative to the Congress and TRS in the State. The BLF should be strengthened, he said.

CPI-M district Secretary Nunna Nageshwar Rao, party leaders B Lenin, K Venkateshwar Rao, Y Srikanth, B Veerabhadram, Macharla Bharati and B Ramesh were present at the programme.
