Get your left-hand middle finger inked in Gram Panchayat polls 2019 held in January instead of the index finger of right hand. Notice with respect to it has been issued by the State Election Commission secretary A Ashok Kumar on Wednesday evening.
As the index finger was inked during assembly elections, the commission issued the orders in a bid to avoid confusion. Several complaints were also filed by some parties against the ink applied on the index finger which has not faded out still.
A circular was issued to all the election officers involved in the elections and a special training will be given to the election staff on applying the ink.
