Highlight: On Friday at the Kempegowda International Airport, many passengers took over social media to complain about the long-winding queues which are held at the security check and baggage screening areas of the departure and international terminals.
BENGALURU : The reason for the queues to tight security was because of the high alert call which was sounded for airports across the country, officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) attributed.
A passenger of the British Airways Asha Mistry had tweeted in the morning. “@British_Airways unacceptable queues here at Bangalore airport. Just to check in the bags. Waiting over an hour. No announcements. No help. Ridiculous 3 counters. Hundreds of passengers.”
The sources of the CISF have said that, “Airports across the country are on high alert since the Pulwama incident. Security checks have been intensified and passengers and their luggage are being thoroughly checked, which is taking more time.”
