Navratri festival, celebrated across the country with a lot of vigour and passion, started today and will end on September 30. In the following days, the nine forms of Maa Durga will be worshipped and the tenth day will be celebrated as Dussehra.
The Prime Minister also greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Mera Chaoren Houba and wished this festival bring in the spirit of harmony in society.

Mera Chaoren Houba, which heralds the advent of Mera Tha (the seventh month of Meitei Lunar calendar), is a traditional festival to promote unity and strengthen the bond of brotherhood among all the communities in the State.
