KIAMS Receives National Education Award For Best Industry Related Curriculum in Marketing. Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, widely known as KIAMS, has bagged the National Education Award for “B-School with Industry Related Curriculum in Marketing”for 2015.

Mumbai: Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, widely known as KIAMS, has bagged the National Education Award for “B-School with Industry Related Curriculum in Marketing”for 2015. The honour was bestowed on the B-school at ceremony held atTaj Land’s End, Bandra, on the 23rd of July 2015.


Instituted by Anand Bazar Patrika Group (ABP News), the National Education Awards recognises outstanding institutions and individuals for taking business education to the next level. B-schools are assessed on their innovative, modern, and Industry-related curriculum in Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Communications, Engineering & Technology adaptation. The awards are well-researched and chosen by an independent jury and a panel of professionals who believe in nurturing and recognizing outstanding talent. It is an annual affair, attracting participation from the very best B-Schools in the country.


“KIAMS has spearheaded numerous industry-oriented innovations infull-time PGDM education,” said Dr. C.N. Narayana, Director, KIAMS, on the sidelines of the ceremony in Mumbai, after receiving the National Education Award for “B-School with Industry Related Curriculum in Marketing.” “KIAMS introduced the Balanced Growth Card - a holistic evaluation of the student that focuses not only on performance outcomes but also on demonstrated effort and underlying competencies. We were the first to Introduce seminar credits. This brought to the student the latest industrial practices in management, delivered by industry practitioners.”

Recently, KIAMS, in collaboration with InnovationNext, a leading consulting firm in the field of breakthrough innovations, has set up a world-class ‘Centre for Creativity & Innovation’. The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) has approved the innovation framework deployed at the Centre.


This year is also special for KIAMS, as it is celebrating its 25 years. Originally designed for the purpose of being a captive management centre-of-excellence for the managers of Kirloskar Group, KIAMS also launched a regular B-school with a strong industry-based curriculum as by the late nineties, the Indian economy had opened up considerably, and industry-relevant managers were the prime need of growth and nation building. Today, KIAMS graduates all over the world are recognised for their industry-immersed knowledge.
