Hyderabad: According to the official survey, due to the recent cyclone hit in the state, two persons were killed while 7,783 hectares of harvested land has been damaged in Srikakulam district alone.

In as many as 5,140 hectares, the horticultural crops like coconut and cashew also sustained damage, sources added. It is evident that approximately 91,000 people have been evacuated before the cyclone struck the district.

In this devastating incident, 380 houses have been damaged and over nine km road stretches were damaged. Officials said the restoration process of both power and water distribution had been finished in almost all the affected villages. Most of the Victims of the cyclone are from Telukunchi village in Ichapuram mandal.
