Despite being taboo for many people, pornography is tremendously popular on the internet as shown by Google statistics, where the term ‘porn’ has had a rate of interest no less than 80 per cent since 2010 on the search engine. Keeping these statistics in view, former Google employees have developed a tool called ‘Boodigo’, which they plan to make a portal for the adult entertainment industry on the web.

Whether or not we like to admit it, we all know that searching for porn online can (sometimes) be a hassle. Finding just the right material often turns into a taxing process of searching, registering, closing millions of pop-up ads and running into images you didn’t ask for or wish to see.

Boodigo is a search engine specifically created to help users cut to the chase when looking for adult entertainment material online. The site takes a no-nonsense approach to finding quality adult content at lightning-fast speeds, blocking results that seem like security threats.

“Boodigo made its official debut on September 15 and has taken off like a rocket,” says Colin Rowntree, one of its founders and also the owner of the Wasteland.com porn site.

“Boodigo is organised with a double process of verification. It first associates key words of the search with content and then checks to see that the content belongs to trustworthy sites and not to pirate sites with fraudulent and malicious intentions,” the Boodigo founder said.

The search engine is also designed to guard the user's anonymity.

According to its privacy policy, Boodigo does not use cookies or other user-tracking technologies to gather information about users. “That makes us different from Google and Bing, and was another reason for creating it,” Rowntree said.
