Sangareddy: Minister T Harish Rao on Saturday described the Centre’s decision to empower Governor E S L Narasimhan as ‘unconstitutional.’ He alleged that the Union government was becoming dictatorial by working in collusion with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘connivance’.
Talking to the media, Rao hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of trying to ride roughshod over the States. He recalled that Modi had criticised the UPA government for interfering in the affairs of the State government when he was Gujarat Chief Minister. Earlier, the Minister inaugurated the Gandhi Centenary School building. He conducted an awareness programme on household survey. The officials and people’s representatives took part. Rao clarified that there was no motive behind organising the survey; it would help identify the real beneficiaries of the welfare schemes.
