Hyderabad: The suspense over the allotment of All India Service (AIS) officers between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States is likely to end on Friday. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is expected to upload draft list of IAS, IPS, IFS officers to work for these two States on Friday. Objections would be invited on this draft list. Changes, if any, would be made and the final list would be released by this month end. Both governments are eagerly waiting for completion of AIS officers distribution since delay was hampering administrative activities with minimal file movement.

It may be mentioned here that Centre appointed Pratyush Sinha committee which recommended 163 posts of IAS, 112 of IPS and 65 of Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers for Telangana State, while the residuary State was given 211 posts of IAS, 144 IPS and 82 IFoS officers.

In all, 284 IAS officers, 209 IPS and 136 IFoS officers were working in undivided State, according to Central government data. The bifurcation of cadre strength would be in the ratio of 13:10 for residual Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which is the ratio of number of districts in the newly-formed States.
