KCR appeals to political fraternity to join hands for development of the State
Hyderabad: The efforts being made by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to cause a dent in Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) stronghold in Parkal Assembly constituency of Warangal district seems to have fructified as TDP leader C Dharma Reddy finally joined the TRS on Sunday.
Exuding confidence that this would help the TRS further in achieving its goal of Bangaru Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called upon political fraternity irrespective of party affiliations to join hands for development of the new State. It is the need of the hour for all leaders to strengthen the hands of Telangana, he said.
The former TDP leader from Warangal switched loyalties to the pink party along with thousands of his supporters.
“There are no motives behind this move. Dharma Reddy joined TRS to ensure the new State becomes a Bangaru Telangana,” KCR said. Speaking earlier, Dharma Reddy stated that he would strive for the development of Parkal constituency with the support of the government. He was cynical of TDP for creating power crisis in Telangana. Dharma Reddy alleged Telangana TDP leaders of seeking favours from party top brass for slamming TRS government on regular basis. The leader from Warangal felt the dream of Bangaru Telangana would only be realised under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Meanwhile, Telangana TDP leaders like A Revanth Reddy said the TRS was offering special packages to MLAs who quit TDP and join TRS so that they would launch a diatribe against the party which had given them political life.
