Hyderabad: Government employees of the Telangana State got a New Year gift from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Releasing the TNGO’s Diary and Calendar 2015 at Ravindra Bharati on Tuesday, KCR said the new Pay Revision Commission (PRC) would be announced in the third week of January after the Sankranthi festival. He said the TRS government was employee friendly and would meet 99.99 per cent of their expectations with regard to the PRC. He also indicated that the government would give one more increment to the employees in 2015. He, however, did not elaborate.
He the government would also allot houses constructed under the Rajiv Swagruha scheme to them on a ‘no profit-no loss’ basis. He said the employees could take two flats and convert them into one if they so desire depending upon their financial capacity. A grand public ‘mela’ will be organised to hand over these flats to the employees. He reminded the employees that his government was paying an annual interest of Rs 270 crore due to the mismanagement of the scheme by the previous governments.
Responding to another long-standing demand to regularise the 42-day ‘Sakala Janula Samme’, KCR said the matter was sub judice and hence the delay. Conceding that he had actually done very little to the employees in the last six months, he advised employees not to be worried over the delay.
