Nalgonda: Opposition leader K Jana Reddy on Friday alleged that Chief Minister and TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao is deceiving the Congress party, which gave Telangana State, by luring its leaders into his party.
Speaking at a programme organised at the District Congress office in connection with Mahathma Gandhi’s death anniversary, Jana Reddy said that there is no need to worry even though a few party leaders were leaving the Congress for their vested interests.
Strongly criticising KCR for encouraging political defections in the State, he felt that the Chief Minister was resorting to such actions only to protect his government, which is losing confidence of the people.
He pointed out that the formation of Telangana state has become possible only due to relentless efforts of Telangana Congress leaders at the Centre.
“Leaving a political party opposing its ideology is understandable, but just to protect selfish interests is nothing but lack of moral values among the defectors,” he felt.
