Division of AP Wakf Board by June 2: Telangana Dy CM

Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Thursday said that before June 2nd, Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board would be bifurcated.

The Deputy CM held discussions with Secretary and Ministry of Minority Affairs - Arvind Mayaram, Joint Secretary - Rakesh Mohan and Under Secretary - PK Sharma in this regard. Also, consultations with the Centre as well as the AP government are being held by the state government.

Furthermore, the government is making way to protect the Wakf Board assets and increase its income. Deputy CM Mahmood Ali earlier apprised Najma Heptullah, Union Minority Affairs Minister of the situation.
