Hyderabad : Telangana TDP on Monday fired a salvo at the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and AP and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan for the stoic silence maintained on the removal of the Commercial Taxes minister T Srinivas Yadav from the state cabinet. The clarification given by the Assembly Secretariat that Yadav did not submit any resignation to his Assembly membership triggered a political storm in Telangana on Sunday.

Addressing the press here, party Telangana unit working President E Dayakar Rao alleged that the CM and Governor misled people on the resignation of Yadav from the MLA post. He held KCR and Narasimhan were responsible for the delay in taking action against the minister. Yadav was finally exposed after the Assembly secretariat made it clear that it did not receive resignation letter from the minister as claimed by him before joining the KCR cabinet.

Referring to earlier statement of Yadav that he had sent the letter of resignation to the Speaker, Rao wanted to know how the Legislative Secretariat was not aware of the it. It is time the mystery should be cleared, he added. Rao said KCR who keeps talking of morality should now ask Talasani to quit the MLA post and seek fresh mandate.

He exuded confidence that the TDP would win the election. If TDP loses, Rao said he would take political ‘ sanyas ‘ ( quit politics). He pointed out that TDP had complained to Governor several times against Yadav and sought the removal of the minister from the cabinet. But, Narasimhan did not act. The party is demanding Governor to expel Yadav from contesting election for giving false information on his resignation, he added.

Talasani loses his cool

Being pushed into defensive situation on the issue of his resignation, Minister for Commercial Taxes T Srinivas Yadav on Monday lost his cool when he was confronted with a question by the media. When the Minister came out of the camp office of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday after inviting him to participate in the Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanotsvam onTuesday, the scribes asked him to comment on the letter sent by the Secretariat of the TS Legislative Assembly in reply to a RTI query which said that they were not in receipt of any resignation letter from Srinivas Yadav. The Minister, declining to comment on the issue, said, ”Note down what I say. Don’t ask anything else.” When the media insisted, the Minister, in an angry tone, said, “Come to me later and I will tell you.”
