Two cars stolen from showroom
Thieves ransacked a showroom and decamped with two new cars in the Banswada town on the wee hours of Friday. They broke the locks of Maruthi-Suzuki Varun Motors showroom and cut off the wires of the closed circuit cameras and decamped with Swift Dezire and Wagor_R cars worth nearly Rs 14 lakh.

They broke the locks of Maruthi-Suzuki Varun Motors showroom and cut off the wires of the closed circuit cameras and decamped with Swift Dezire and Wagor-R cars worth nearly Rs 14 lakh.
The show-room is a sub-branch of Varun Motors and the managers of the branch filed a complaint with the police. Banswada police registered a case and took up investigation. There has been a spate of burglaries in Banswada during the last six months in which many cases involving theft of motorcycles, ransacking of houses, and looting money from ATM centres were registered.
Though three to five cases of theft were registered every week, the police department is totally indifferent in dealing with these cases. It is quite surprising that the theft of cars took place in the showroom which is situated near the house of the Bansawada Circle Inspector of Police.
