Nizamabad: Large number of devotees visited the temples of Lord Shiva in the district and performed special poojas in the district. Devotees thronged the Neelakanteshwaralayam, Shambuni and Nagareshwara temples in the city.
In Neela Kanteshwaralayam, thousands of devotees started pouring in from the early hours and offered special prayers to Lord Shiva. Serpentine queues were witnessed in front of the Kanteshwar temple with devotees chanting the name of Lord Shiva with devotion.
The temple officials made arrangements in the queue lines by organising shade nets and parking lounges for the convenience of the devotees.
Devotees participated in special religious rituals at the Shambhuni temple in the early morning. The temple was decked up beautifully by the temple officials and Trust Board members and facilities were provided for the devotees. Thousands of devotees formed queue lines from the Nehru Park to the Shambhuni temple.
In Nagareshwara temple, special poojas were performed for Lord Shiva on a grand scale with devotional fervour. People in large numbers in the surrounding areas visited the Nagareshwara temple.
