The administration of Khammam district has on Thursday drawn up a comprehensive plan to make the ensuing Tiru Kalyana Brahmotsavams of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple a huge success. In a meeting here, District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar directed the temple authorities to complete all the civil works taken up by them before March 31. 

Bhadrachalam (Khammam): As part of Satavarsha Prayukta Suvarna Bhadrakavacha Samarpanatmaka Navahnika Sri Ramayana Mahakratuvu celebrations, the priests of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple on Thursday performed Utsavanugna, Bhadragiri Pradarshanm, Omkara Rama Dhwajarohanam, Sri Viswaksena puja, Punyahavachanam, Ritvigvaranam, Raksha Bandhanam, Salavastu, Paryagnikaranam and Yagasala pravesham in the morning. Later in the evening, Matsyamgrahanam, Ankurarohanam, Akhanda Deepastapanam and Dwaratorana puja rituals performed.

In a meeting here, District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar directed the temple authorities to complete all the civil works taken up by them before March 31.

He instructed the district administration to work in tandem to ensure a hassle-free darshan to the devotees attending the Sri Rama Navami on April 15 and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on the following a day. The officials were also told to focus on the hygiene of the temple precincts and the temple town in general. The collector told the officials to set up special prasadam counters at all vantage points.

He instructed the ITDA project officer Rajiv Gandhi Hanmanthu to oversee the arrangements of the festival. The arrangements include sector-wise work delegation, tickets, accommodation and arrangements for VIPs. The officials also discussed about the measures for crowd management and video surveillance through CCTV network to prevent untoward incidents during the fete, besides deploying adequate police personnel for the bandobust duty.

Joint collector D Divya, ITDA PO Rajiv Gandhi Hanmanthu, Zilla Parishad CEO Nagesh, Kothagudem RDO Ravindranath and Bhadrachalam ASP R Bhaskaran were among other officials present.
