Hyderabad: The enthusiasm displayed by the Hyderabad City Police to impress K Taraka Rama Rao, the Minister for Information Technology, Panchayat Raj & Municipal Administration & Urban Development when he visited the office of the police commissioner, led to severe hardships to the visitors who had gone there to register their complaints.

On Saturday, around 3 pm, the Minister made a visit to the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s office in Basheerbagh. As part of security measures, police stopped the entry of visitors and complainants in to the office.

The Minister, who was at the office to learn about the technological advancements, spent about three hours there. But little did he know that the police had stopped the public at the entry gate and did not even allow the visitors to sit in the lounge.

When asked why they were not even being allowed to sit in the lounge, a police constable said they had received orders to that effect.
