In the wake of the Telangana EAMCET-II leakage, the state government has decided to conduct fresh Eamcet and the responsibility of holding the re-test has been given to Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) that has conducted Eamcet for several years.

The schedule of Eamcet-III is likely to be announced on Monday with the Medical Council of India’s (MCI) guidelines indicating the admissions into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2016-17 has to be completed before September 30.
The dates for Eamcet-III will be announced after the official statement of cancellation of Eamcet-II is issued.
Despite the leakage fiasco, JNTU-Hyderabad has been considered as the experience and expertise in conducting the exam is still prominent. However, the convenor is likely to be changed and a new committee would be constituted to conduct Eamcet-III. As per the sources, JNTU registrar Prof. N Yadaiah is likely to take over from convener N Ramana Rao.
