CP reviews security arrangements for Bakrid, Ganesh immersion
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy along with other senior police officers on Monday reviewed the security arrangements in Old City area in connection with Bakrid and Ganesh idol immersion.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy along with other senior police officers on Monday reviewed the security arrangements in Old City area in connection with Bakrid and Ganesh idol immersion.
Speaking to media, Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy said the city police had made massive security arrangements for Bakrid and deployed additional forces at Mir Alam Dargah from Sunday evening. He said that five outposts had been set up to control the traffic movement towards the Dargah.
The police were coordinating with the officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to ensure that the animal wastage would not be thrown on roads and clear the wastage immediately. The city police were on alert to meet any sort of situation.
He warned of stringent action against anyone trying to spread communal hatred through social media. Additional Commissioner (L&O) V V Srinivas Rao, Additional Commissioner (CAR) M Shiva Prasad, South Zone DCP V Satyanarayana and other officers were also present during the review.
