Felicitating those who received national awards for implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), the Minister called upon the officials to ensure that fruits of development reach the people. He complimented the officials for their successful implemented of the MGNREGS, which brought accolades to the State.
He showered praises on the officials of the Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM) and Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) for their selfless devotion to the public cause. Krishna Rao pointed out that the State won laurels from all corners for providing skill development programmes for the youth to enable them to secure employment. The State also got the distinction of taking up several activities to empower women and generating livelihoods for them, he added.
Commissioner Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Neetu Prasad and SERP CEO PausamiBasu said team work would help achieve better results. Manoharabad village in Nizamabad district securedthe district, state and the national award, said the village sarpanch Tirupathi Reddy.
