AP, Telangana to witness rains in next 24 hours

Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to be witnessed in the next 24 hours in both the Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

According to the Met department, a low-pressure zone was formed over Bay of Bengal resulting in rains in the coming 24 hours. So far, Telangana has received 16 percent deficit rainfall while Rayalaseema recorded 15 percent less rain in the monsoon season.

As per the forecast, the monsoon trough which is at present scillating towards north will make a shift towards the south and only when it shifts towards South of India, rainfall is witnessed in the southern part of the country.
