In Chinnakodur Mandal headquarter and Rajagopalpet village of Nangunoor Mandal of Siddipet district, around 20 party workers were arrested when they tried to hoist the national flag at MRO office. The party workers hoisted the tri-colour at the BJP office. The programme was presided over by BJP District President Naini Narottam Reddy. Flag hoisting was also done in Gajwel town by some people irrespective of their political affiliation.
In Medak town, BJP party workers hoisted the national flag at Ramdas Chowrasta and the programme was presided over by BJP district President Ramcharan Yadav. However, the flag was removed after a while, leading the party workers to have a heated argument with the local police.
In Sangareddy town and Patancheru, the BJP party workers hoisted the flag at their party offices. It was interesting to see Congress party workers joining hands with BJP and ABVP workers in Narayankhed, to observe the day as Telangana Liberation Day.
