The Cyberabad police cracked the kidnap case and arrested the auto driver Sunkara Gangaiah who was trying to sell the kid for Rs 1 lakh.
According to the police, the accused belonging to Guntakal in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district used to sell roadside medicine including ayurvedic medicines. However, with his income being meager, he planned to sell children and earn money.
The police officials informed that when the accused found Nagesh unattended, he offered the boy chocolates and took him to Guntakal from Lingampally railway station in Hyderabad.
The parents, meanwhile approached the police who circulated the boy’s pictures across the two Telugu states.
The police acted on a tip-off from Guntakal police and arrested Gangaiah. A case of kidnap was registered against the accused who was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
