Justice Shameem Akhter gave this direction to the police on Thursday after hearing the arguments advanced by senior counsel Vedula Venkataramana on behalf of the petitioner. The senior counsel sought an order of anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that this was a politically motivated case seeking to falsely implicate the Opposition party leader in the case.
The Additional Public Prosecutor D Ram Reddy strongly opposed the plea, saying that the law was taking its own course and it should not be interfered with. The judge adjourned the case to Monday and directed the police to place all details about the case before the court on that day.
