Musheerabad: M Anil Kumar Yadav, Congress candidate for Musheerabad constituency, filed his nomination papers at tahsildar office here on Wednesday.
Earlier, a massive rally was taken out with thousands of activists from Musheerabad cross roads up to Mahankali temple, where he offered special prayer. He also offered prayers at a darga in Sattar Bagh and a church at Golkonda cross roads.
The rally passed through RTC cross roads, lower Tank Bund and reached tahsildar office, where he filed his nomination papers after taking blessings of his father in the presence of senior Congress leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Yadav thanked the leaders of Grand alliance for supporting his candidature and AICC president Rahul Gandhi for giving an opportunity to contest in assembly elections.
He expressed confidence that he would win the seat with huge majority. Senior Congress leaders, party activists, former corporators, and supporters participated in the program in large numbers.
