Suicide bid by farmer

Tandur: A farmer allegedly tried to commit suicide by pouring petrol over himself in front of a tractor showroom here on Wednesday. Ramulu of Doulapur had received a subsidised tractor last year, which was not working properly. Vexed over his repeated failures in dealing with the tractor, he demanded a new tractor and attempted suicide after a verbal spat with the agency dealer. The agency dealer informed the matter to police. They reached the spot and took bottle from his possession and locked up the shop.
