Teachers demand abolition of CPS

Mancherial: All India Teachers Organisation (AITO) and Progressive Recognised Teachers Union Telangana State (PRTUTS) staged a dharna at IB Centre here on Friday demanding abolition of contributory pension scheme (CPS).
Panchayat Raj Teachers Union district president Inna Reddy and women’s wing leader Shankari criticised the government for acting tough against teachers. District JAC leaders and TDP leaders extended their support to the dharna.
PRTUTS leaders P Sanjeevu, Manjula, S Ravi, TTJAC Ramesh, M Malesh, Linganna, Babanna, Ravi and about 500 teachers from various teachers organisations took part in the rally.
