Bhupalpally: Praises were showered on Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary by the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, ministers T Nageshwar Rao and C Laxma Reddy over his initiatives in developing Bhupalpally constituency and the district.
The constituency, which was neglected for the past few decades, has been witnessing visible development in all spheres with the Speaker’s efforts and active support from the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, they stated after launching a series of development works in Bhupalpally district on Tuesday.
The inauguration of Chityal Government Hospital upgraded to 50 beds with an expenditure of Rs 10.3 crore, high-level bridge constructed at Tekumatla at a cost of Rs 15.95 crore, and a 500 metric tonne warehouse at Chityal took place on the day.
Similarly, the ministers, Deputy CM and the Speaker laid foundation stone for road widening works of Garmillapalli-Morancha worth Rs 45 crore and a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya to be built with an expenditure of Rs 2.70 crore at Tekumatla.
“The inauguration of hospital and bridge, laying foundation stone for KGBV and road works reveals a lot about the pace at which development is places in remote place like Bhupalpally,” said Laxma Reddy, Nageshwar Rao and Srihari addressing a public meeting at Chityal.
The Deputy CM noted that he had never seen an Assembly Speaker doing so much for the development of his constituency as well as the district. Though the river Godavari passes in the district the people in the constituency never tasted its water and now the Speaker fulfilled that desire of the people, he added.
Laxma Reddy informed that old hospitals were being upgraded and provided infrastructure. For the first time in the country, a fertility centre was established at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad in accordance with the State governments’ commitment to ensure quality health services to all.
The State witnessed no development during the past 70 years rule of BJP and Congress. For the past four years, the Telangana is witnessing rapid development. That was why the CM was planning to launch an alternate political front and the public in the state should support him, Nageshwar Rao said.
Speaker Madhusudhana Chary thanked the CM KCR for ensuring sufficient funds for the all-round development of Bhupalpally district. No village in Bhupalpally constituency was without a CC road, he claimed.
The MLA camp office building and municipal office building at Bhupalpally town were also inaugurated on the day. The villagers in large numbers turned out for the public meeting at Chityal while taddy toppers showered flowers on the visiting VIPs atop the taddy palms welcoming them.
