Supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s day-long fast for protection of democracy in the country, BJP local leaders and activists staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Thursday.Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Reddy said that by interrupting the budget session of the Parliament, the leaders of Opposition parties created a nuisance in the house.

In protest against Congress and other Opposition parties, who supported it for their cheap behavior in the parliament, the Prime Minister decided to go on a day-long fast to save democracy in the country, without disturbing his daily office routine.

Congress, which ruled for 55 years, couldn’t do anything for the development of the country. But within four years of coming to power, the BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi brought several reforms and heading towards development competing with other countries in the world.

Unable to bear the growing popularity of Narendra Modi and BJP in the country, Congress along with TRS, TDP and other parties seized the functioning of Parliament for 23 days, which is against democracy and wasted public money, he criticised.

People were observing every move of Congress, TRS and TDP in the State and are ready to teach a befitting lesson by giving power to BJP in both Telugu speaking states in the coming Assembly elections.BJP state leader Gujjal Rama Krishna, K Odelu, L Shankar, E Nageshwar Reddy, T Hari Kumar, S Mallesham, G Venkat Reddy, S Vidya Sagar, G Susheela, R Vijaya, Sujatha Reddy, Sadaiah, Mallesh Yadav, S Srinivas Reddy, Malla Reddy, K Harish, Shaik Haneef, P Raghu, Aslam, Anji Reddy and G Sainath were present along with others.
