Vijayawada: Saptagiri Degree College here will organise the Krishna University Inter-Collegiate (KRUIC) Chess Championship-cum-University Team Selection Trials from October 7 to 8. The college management has made arrangements for the two-day tournament, in which chess players from several colleges affiliated with Krishna University are expected to participate.
College in-charge Principal, tournament organising committee chairman and organising Secretary Ravicherla Raghuram said on Monday that all participating players must be accompanied by their team managers.
The managers should be the Physical Directors of the respective colleges or a faculty member authorised by the college. He made it clear that players would not be permitted to participate without an accompanying team manager.
