Mahindra has gone ahead and released its first teaser for its updated thar ahead of September 22nd launch. The new facelift vehicle would receive more substantial design update when compared to its 2025 refresh. It will also have styling cues borrowed from the larger Thar Roxx
Mahindra Thar Facelift launch date
In Jodhpur, Mahindra has scheduled the launch as well as the drive event starting from September 22nd to 24th. Few sources have revealed that the launch date was only expected, not the exact date. The latest official teaser confirms the updated Thar is being prepared for its public debut.
Thar Facelift will receive Roxx-inspired design
The biggest change are expected at the front. The test mule has been spotted with a redesigned grille, projector LED headlamps with C shaped DRLS, a revised bumper and new alloy wheels, the rear could also receive redesigned LED tail lamps and bumper changes. The familiar three door body, spare wheel mounted g tailgate and overall. Boxy silhouette are expected to remain
More features could be added
Mahindra has not revealed the cabin yet, but the facelift could address few of the Thar’s feature gaps. Reports suggest potential additions which include digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, auto-dimming IRVM, 360 degree camera and ventilated front seats. These features have not been confirmed by Mahindra yet.
Existing petrol as well as diesel engines are more likely to continue
The engine lineup is expected to remain unchanged.
Price
The current Thar is priced between Rs. 1032 lakh and RS. 18 lakh (Ex-showroom). The facelift is expected to command a slight premium.
