The new Rs 248 plan launched by the leading telecom operator will be available to users who recharge their Airtel number for the first or second time.

The leading telecom operator in the country, Airtel, has launched a new prepaid plan for the first and second time to recharge subscribers. The new Rs 248 plan submitted by the company will be available to users who recharge their Airtel number for the first or second time.

As reported by Telecom Talk, the new Rs 248 plan has replaced the old Rs 229 prepaid plan. Under this new plan, the telecom operator offers unlimited local and STD calls with 100 SMS per day. Along with this, Airtel users will also get 1.4GB of data daily as part of the plan. This new recharge plan comes with the validity of 28 days.

Along with the Rs 229 plan, Airtel has also discontinued plans Rs 345 and Rs 559. Both plans were also available to users of the first time recharge. In addition to the new Rs 248 plan, Airtel also offers plans for Rs 76, Rs 178 and Rs 495 as part of the first recharge plans.

As per the Rs 76 plan, the subscribers will get a talk time of Rs 26 and, in case the user exhausts this limit, they will be charged 60 paise per minute. This plan is also valid for 28 days and also offers 100 MB of data.

The second plan of Rs 178 offers an unlimited calling service for Airtel users. Along with this, subscribers will also receive 100 SMS per day and 1 GB of data. This plan is valid for a period of 28 days.

The last plan in the portfolio is Rs 495. Under this plan, users will receive unlimited local and national calls with 100 SMS and 1.4GB data per day. This plan is valid for 84 days.

These Airtel plans will face competition from the Reliance Jio Rs 198 plan and the Vodafone Rs 199 plan. The telecom operator owned by Mukesh Ambani offers 2GB data per day with unlimited calls and 100 SMS at Rs 198. Along with this, the Jio users will also have free access to Jio Suite apps, which include JioTV, JioCinema and others.

On the other hand, Vodafone offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS and 1.5GB data per day under Rs 198. This plan comes with a validity of a period of 28 days.
