Tata Sky has slashed its set-top box prices by Rs. 400 which is applicable to Tata Sky HD and SD set-top boxes. It aims to reach every corner of India. The new prices are available via local dealers and retail stores. Beginning of this month, Tata Sky brought its digital content-first service besides the special edition Amazon Fire TV Stick. Recently it also offered four new broadcaster packs beginning at Rs. 49. Online, the Tata Sky set-top box prices are even lesser.

Tata Sky HD set-top is now offered at Rs. 1,800, its SD set-top box comes with a revised price of Rs. 1,600. These offers are similar to the Airtel Digital TV set-top box prices. The DTH operator is offering its HD set-top box at Rs. 1,800 and SD set-top box at Rs. 1,650. Presently Dish TV is available at a promotional offer where it is providing its HD set-top box at Rs. 1,690 for a limited time.

Online, Tata Sky is offering the set-top boxes at even lower prices, with the HD set-top box at Rs. 1,699, and the SD set-top box at Rs. 1,499. Tata Sky main aim to revise the price is to ensure that every family in India get access to a plethora of digital-quality channels and services.

The service is available via Amazon Fire TV Stick - Tata Sky Edition. The DTH operator would also offer digital content from Eros Now, Hotstar, Hungama Play, and Sun NXT. Tata Sky subscribers who opt for its Binge service are also allowed to receive over 5,000 titles from the Tata Sky VOD library and three months of Amazon Prime access at a monthly charge of Rs. 249.

Earlier this week, Tata Sky also brought its four new broadcaster packs from Star India priced at Rs. 49 per month. There are also a range of curated packs, regional packs, and add-on packs, as well as a-la-carte channels, in the Tata Sky bouquet to try to win against the Airtel Digital TV, D2h, and Dish TV.
