In a big breaking, the BJP High Command has appointed Bandi Sanjay as the state BJP president on Wednesday.

In a big breaking, the BJP High Command has appointed Bandi Sanjay as the state BJP president on Wednesday. Bandi Sanjay is current MP of Karimnagar who defeated TRS candidate Vinod Kumar in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He has previously worked at ABVP and Yuvamorcha and has good relations with the RSS as well.

Bandi Sanjay has served as a volunteer at RSS since childhood and also worked as a convener, town vice president and state executive member of the Akhil Bharati Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). From 1994-2003, he served as director of Karimnagar Co-operative Urban Bank for two terms. He also served as an election campaign incharge at the BJP national headquarters in Delhi.

Later served as the city's general secretary, city president, state executive member, state vice president, national executive member and national secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuvamorcha

He served as corporator from the 48th division for three times in Karimnagar and became the governing body of the city. He has served as the BJP president of the city for two consecutive terms. In the 2014 general elections, he contested for assembly as BJP's candidate and lost. However, he won the parliamentary elections in 2019.
