Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to make foolproof arrangements for the Ganesh festivities in Hyderabad and ensure peace and avoid chaos in the state. During the review meeting in the Legislative Council conference hall, the chief minister said that appropriate security arrangements must be made so that devotees face no problem.
The chief minister said that unlike other states, free electricity has been offered to Ganesh pandals in the state. The organizers should apply to the concerned authorities for the electricity supply. He said that the organizers should give the details about the location of the pandals so that police could help in traffic management.
Revanth Reddy said that preparations have to be made carefully during the construction work at the lakes being developed. The facilities should be made so that idols could be immersed as in the case of Bathukamma. He asked them to make preparations to deploy cranes at the lakes for the immersion of idols.
The CM has directed municipal and police administrations to be on high alert so that adequate arrangements are made for the continuous supervision of the function. He said that a control room would be set up at the Command Control Centre and special officers would be appointed to monitor all activities. Saying Hyderabad’s image was at stake, he appealed to the organizers to cooperate fully and said the administration would take care of any problems that arose.
