Festive Rush Causes Delays Near Choutuppal on Hyderabad-Vijayawada NH
Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway near Choutuppal, as Hyderabad residents travel to their hometowns for the Saddula Bathukamma and Dasara festivals.
Traffic has increased to around twice the usual volume. Ongoing flyover construction in Choutuppal has diverted vehicles on to a narrow service road, where traffic is moving slowly.
Local residents are also having to cross the national highway through the heavy flow of vehicles. Police have taken steps to regulate traffic in the area.
