Gadwal Collector directs contractors to speed up construction of 2BHKs
District Collector K Shashanka has directed the contractors and engineers concerned in Gadwal to speed up the works of double bedroom houses in the district and ensure that poor houseless get benefited from the scheme at the earliest.

Inspecting the construction works of the double bedroom houses on the outskirts of Gadwal, the District Collector along with Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy sought information about the status works from the contractor. The contractor informed that they have completed 320 2BHKs in 24 blocks and erected eight water tanks to provide water facility for the residents.
"Almost 320 houses are ready to occupy. However, the electrical works are yet to be completed. The electrical service connection to each house is away 20 meters and the bigger power lines from Gadwal headquarters to the site of double bedroom houses is 4 kilometres away and it is yet to be erected," informed the contractor.
The District Collector sought more inputs from the electrical Superintendent Engineer (SE) who sought Rs 40 lakh for providing electrical connection to the double bedroom houses from Gadwal. The Collector asked the SE to submit a report on the same. The District Collector also directed the Rural Water Supply engineers Narasimha and Basheer to submit a proposal to supply Mission Bhagiratha water to the said site.
Gattu MPP Vijaya, Library chairman Keshava, Mission Bhagiratha Executive Engineer Bheemeshwar Rao and others participated accompanied the Collector during his visit.
