Hans India report prompts swift road repairs in Jagitial

Jagitial: The Jagitial municipal authorities have swung into action and taken up immediate repair works on the dug-up roads in the town following a report published in Hans India highlighting the plight of commuters ahead of the Ganesh Navratri festivities.

The report drew attention to several roads that had been dug up for patchwork repairs but were left incomplete following rains. The damaged stretches, filled with potholes and muddy patches, were causing severe inconvenience to motorists and posing a particular risk to two-wheeler riders.

The report also highlighted the absence of proper barricades and warning signs at some locations, raising concerns over the possibility of accidents, especially during night hours and in view of the expected heavy traffic during the Ganesh festivities.

Responding to the report, the Municipal Commissioner directed the concerned officials to immediately inspect the affected stretches and initiate necessary measures. Municipal officials visited the locations and took up the pending road repair works.

The municipal governing body also responded promptly and instructed the officials to expedite the works and ensure that the roads are made safe for commuters before the Ganesh festivities.

Residents appreciated the swift response of the municipal authorities and welcomed the immediate action following the Hans India report. They urged the officials to complete the remaining works at the earliest and ensure proper barricades and warning signs wherever road works are still underway.
