Hyderabad: Finance Minister T. Harish Rao on Monday held a meeting on industrial pollution and status of Covid 19 virus in Sangareddy with the managements of industries and officials of the district. He asked the managements of various industries located in Sangareddy to set up a grievance cell at any cost in all their units.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao expressed his anger that the managements of the industries were transporting their workers without maintaining social distance and wearing of face masks. He also said that the officials concerned were also ignoring such important issues and not initiating any action against them. He warned them of facing stringent action if they do not follow the guidelines to contain the spread of the virus in the district.

Rao made it clear that they had been alerted in the district following the gas leakage mishap at Vizag in Andhra Pradesh. He opined out that the officials of fire safety wing and inspectors of boilers were not properly inspecting the safety measures put in place by the industries managements. He said that 20 people had lost their lives in industrial accidents last year. He asked the managements to take precautions while releasing gas and boiler.
