Heavy Rain Swells Streams in Bhadradri Kothagudem District; Road Connectivity Hit
KOTHAGUDEM: Heavy inflows into streams following incessant rains disrupted road connectivity at several places in Mulakalapalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Wednesday.
The Pamuleru stream was flowing over the causeway at Anjanapuram on the Madaram–Sathupalli road, disrupting the movement of vehicles.
Similarly, vehicular traffic towards Dammapeta was affected on the Mulakalapalli–Dammapeta national highway near Rajupeta Colony as the Pamuleru stream witnessed a heavy flow.
With several streams in Mulakalapalli mandal overflowing, road connectivity to the mandal headquarters was also disrupted, leaving commuters facing difficulties.
Authorities have advised people and motorists to remain alert and avoid crossing overflowing streams and causeways until water levels recede. They urged the public to exercise caution and follow safety instructions to prevent untoward incidents.
