LB Nagar: MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy met Tourism Minister Srinivas Goud at his residence on Thursday. He submitted a memorandum to minister requesting to allot Rs 5 crore for the development of Hayat Bhakshi Begum Masjid as tourism place.
MLA Devireddy said, "The 450-year-old historical Masjid spanning an area of 4.5 acre requires Rs 5 crore for its development as tourism area." He said, "A positive response was received from the minister. He said that he will raise the topic in the forthcoming budget meetings and discuss about it."
Hayatnagar corporator Sama Tirumal Reddy, Mansoorabad corporator Koppula Vittal Reddy, Cherku Prashanth Goud and masjid members were among those present.
