Former minister and BRS state general secretary Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy
JAGTIAL: Former minister and BRS state general secretary Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy has criticised the Congress government, alleging that the state machinery has completely failed and farmers are suffering due to the government’s failure to ensure adequate power supply and irrigation water.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Jagtial, Jeevan Reddy demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy be suspended from office and President’s Rule be imposed in Telangana. He alleged that the Chief Minister’s administrative failures were affecting farmers and that the government had failed in power generation, distribution and irrigation water management.
He cautioned that farmers should not be made to suffer because of alleged differences between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. He also demanded that the Chief Minister take responsibility for the alleged failures of his government.
Meanwhile, Korutla MLA Kalvakuntla Sanjay demanded that the government ensure 12 hours of uninterrupted power supply for agriculture. He also called for the release of irrigation water through the Flood Flow Canal and Kakatiya Canal for another 15 days to support standing crops.
Sanjay challenged the state government to an open debate on electricity generation, questioning its handling of power supply to the agricultural sector.
BRS leaders and party representatives attended the press conference and criticised the government over issues concerning farmers, electricity supply and irrigation facilities.
