J&K officials lauds Telangana Transport Department for offering online services to motorists
A team of Jammu and Kashmir Transport Department officials visit RTA and Transport Commissioner’s office and study process of providing services online
Hyderabad: Jammu and Kashmir senior officials of Transport Department have lauded the State Transport Department's initiative in making all the services online.
A team of officials from the Transport Department of Jammu and Kashmir led by Commissioner Pradip Kumar visited the RTA office and Commissioner's office at Somajiguda to study the online services being offered by the TS Transport Department to customers.
The officials studied the online process of granting driving license, learning license, slot bookings, renewal of driving license, ownership transfer, duplicate license application etc.
Transport Commissioner M R M Rao explained the process of making it easier for the motorist to avail themselves of several services without coming to the office.
The Commissioner said the government was trying to provide better services to the citizens with the use of technology and the services were made online as part of this.
He also spoke about the reforms brought about in the RTA offices and utilisation of resources.
The visiting team of officials complimented the Telangana officials for the successful implementation of online services.
