Karimnagar: Awards, medals jostle for space at this vegetable vendor's home
Karimnagar: A vegetable vendor in Karimnagar vegetable market is setting an example for others by entering into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Rapelli Srinivas, unlike others, is a familiar name in the vegetable market for his extra-ordinary skills. Recently he entered his name in Guinness Book of World Records by walking on toes for a distance of 137.1 meters in just one minute.
After putting lot of efforts for past six months, Srinivas achieved the feat and entered his name in the Guinness Book of World Records and is also planning to beat his own record by covering the distance of 200 meters.
He is showing his skills in various fields. Impressed by Bruce Lee during his childhood he learnt karate, kung fu, kick boxing and taekwondo. He is showing his skills in running, swimming and solving the world's most popular 3-D combination puzzle, the Rubik's Cube within a minute.
He won 98 gold medals, 34 silver and six bronze medals till date.
When people take hours together for solving the puzzle, R Srinivas will solves the same within seconds. He also solves it with blindfolded. He also won a gold medal for solving the puzzle in one minute in the competition that is held in Mumbai, in 2016.
R Srinivas who came from a poor background is living in small house along with his mother, wife and two children and is seeking government's support by providing him a job in any government department, so that he can focus more on various achievements to bring name and fame not only for the district but also for the State and to the country.
