Mancherial: Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak, IAS has been selected for the prestigious “Excellence in Educational Administration Award – 2026” for his outstanding contribution to strengthening public education. The award will be presented by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during the State-level Teachers’ Day celebrations at Kodangal Government Junior College on September 5.

Under his leadership, Mancherial district achieved remarkable success in boosting student enrollment in government schools. Student strength rose from 41,349 in 2024–25 to 45,626 in 2026–27, recording a 10.34% growth with 4,277 additional enrollments. Significantly, 4,346 students shifted from private to government schools in the current academic year alone.

Out of 282 government schools, more than 10% registered additional enrollments, while 11 mandals recorded growth above 6%. This success was driven by coordinated efforts of education officials, headmasters, teachers, MIS, CCOs, and CRPs under the Collector’s guidance, with continuous monitoring and grassroots problem-solving.
